MBA Art Show Success
Beth LaPenna’s work received an extraordinary response at the 2025 MBA Art Show, where 23 pieces were collected by 18 new and returning buyers over the 2½-day event. Her vibrant mixed-media collages, stitched paintings, and alcohol-ink “Colorscapes” drew constant attention, with several works selling within the first hours of the show.
Collectors connected deeply with the color, texture, and emotional energy of Beth’s work, and many returned multiple times to view pieces in different light. The weekend was not only a sales success, but a meaningful opportunity to connect with interior designers, art lovers, and the MBA community—further affirming the growing momentum behind her creative practice.
Featured in Bellevue City Lifestyle — March 2025
I’m honored to be featured in the March 2025 print edition of Bellevue City Lifestyle, which highlights my mixed-media collage Journey Home and my work as a Bellevue-area artist.
The article offers a glimpse into my creative process—layering color, texture, and stitched elements to explore themes of memory, place, and emotional connection. Journey Home was selected for display at GEODIS Park as part of a curated local-artist showcase, where it continues to be viewed by a wide audience.
Being included in this issue is a meaningful moment in my artistic journey. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my work within the community and beyond, and for the continued support of those who connect with my art.
I’m thrilled to share that my collage Journey Home has been selected for the He(art) of Nashville exhibit at the SoundWaves Gallery, where it will be on display from February through December, 2025. This exhibition celebrates artists who capture the spirit of Nashville, and I’m honored to be part of it.
Journey Home is a deeply textured collage featuring sewn ribbons that weave through layers of color and pattern, symbolizing the twists, turns, and connections of life’s journey. The stitching represents resilience and the ties that bind us to places, memories, and each other. This piece is part of my Journey series, where I explore movement, transformation, and belonging through layered textures and mixed media.
